About me:
I am a middle-aged married man with two daughters.
I enjoy singing, tramping and mountain-biking. I am a member of the Royal Dunedin Male Choir and have sung in supporting roles in a few local productions.
I also enjoy computer programming and am currently teaching myself Java, XML and XSLT. Previously, I have had great fun with Logo and it is a wonderful language for introducing programming. This web page is also my first experience in Web design and I am writing the HTML from scratch.
I bike to work each day and do a little recreational biking; it keeps me fit and is one small contribution to sustainability.
I support Oxfam and Greenpeace and believe that the pervasive 'growth at any cost' is destructive both socially and environmentally.
I hope to develop this website slowly to reflect my interests.
